Tucson Bucket List!

Tucson Bucket List...DONE!!

It's okay to be impressed! I finished every item on my list. I ran all over town for a whole semester and accomplished all of the staples that make Tucson as exciting as it seems. I love every minute of it.
I spent my last few days in Tucson this week and it was a little hard to say goodbye. I spent this whole year embracing all that is this shady old town and it's going to be hard to watch it fade in my rear view.

Shout out my bucket list companions:
-Vyvienne
-Karli
-Rosa

I could not have done it without their help! It was an adventure for the history books! So if you live in Tucson, mark these things off your to do list before you leave. There are even a few more you could add on there! But if you don't live in Tucson, make a list of your own for your city!

What is a Tucson Bucket List, you ask?
It's a list of bucket list worthy items that can only be accomplished in the dirty city of Tucson, Arizona. I plan to accomplish the following items in the next semester!

Tucson Bucket List
1| Try every Flavor of the Month at Eegee's
2| Feed an Ostrich
3| Hike to the top of "A" Mountain
4| Eat a Sonoran Hot Dog at a shady 24 hour Mexican Restaurant
5| Eat a giant cookie at Mount Lemon
6| Hike Seven Falls
7| Drive at insecure speeds down Roller Coaster Road
8| Walk the entire length of Spring Fling and eat lots o' shady fair food
9| Consume my body weight in pizza from Frog and Frikin
10| Indulge in the anorexia curing hamburgers at Lindy's

Be a tourist in your home town and find what little adventures are hiding out there for you to find...

Headband or Crown?!?!?

For you ever so dedicated fans/daily people in my life, you are well aware of my mild extreme obsession with Gossip Girl and it's been a while since I finished arguable the most influential teen melodrama series of our childhood, I decided to write an entire post about how much I love Blair Waldorf!

She is my spirit animal. Literally not a doubt in this world about it. Every second of the series I was rooting for Team Blair.

Boo Serena and her struggles, being pretty and flawless much be so full of woah...NOT!

But Blair, her struggle to find her inner powerful woman while trying to hold on to the greatest bad boy of our time, Chuck Bass. With that deep voice and love of bow ties, how could one not swoon to all that is Chuck.
Anyways, more about him later! Back to my idol. I know I'm slightly fan girling, well hard core, but let's just keep this a judge free zone for the remainder of this post!

How could anyone watch those six seasons and not wish they had her ever so expensive closet, artfully designed bedroom, loyal housekeeper, and whole life in general. No girl can rock the school uniform plaid like Queen B.

One word: Headbands.

Actually several words: Minions, Queen, Yogurt, Chuck, Princess, Dan.

I am all about that Chuck life, no questions asked. But is it so wrong that a part of me loved the Dan and Blair friendship turned relationship? With her stone cold exterior and his insightful quirk, how could these two not be completely catastrophic? Answer: They were.

In addition to becoming a momentary princess, she manged to finally tie down New York's most infamous bad boy!

With daddy and uncle issue, a town car, a swanky hotel, and an endless bank account, I would be as mess up as Chuck Bass is. Even more reason why I love Blair is her insensate need to make Chuck fall in love with her. Every time they get back together you just get that warm fuzzy feeling, but you're also 100% on Queen B's side when she leaves his noncommittal ass.

It's not just her tug of war romance with Chuck that makes me constantly channel my inner B, it's also her "will happen" attitude, you can't loose if you don't try and boy does this girl try! Getting rejected from the college of her dreams...who cares, I'll lie my way into Ivy League. Take over her mom's world famous label and getting humiliated, she comes back swinging and ready for blood. She makes a prince fall in love with her and in true Cinderella fashion, he saves her shoe.

From rocking the headband, to being married and divorced before 30, there is not a tread that Blair can not rock! She is an all around bad ass who you never want to cross...and who I would give anything to trade lives with.

The Tassel was Worth the Hassle!

You are now officially reading the words of a COLLEGE GRADUATE!!!! WAHHH!!! I'm so cool. ;)

So the day finally came and went, I walked across the stage in my over sized tarp and cardboard hat and all I have to show for it is a silly paperweight!

These past four years have been full of adventures and I am so thankful for the amazing support system I have. My family is pretty neat! They have always been there to support me and this weekend was no different. My cheering section may not have been the entire population of Texas, but they are def the best support a girl could ask for!

Well Prince Charming came and it was so so great to see him again! For those of you that are new, my Prince Charming is a little different than most...he's kind of every girl's dream! Not only does he has a Southern accent, but he is also a cowboy from the backwoods of Oklahoma! I know...I'm the luckiest girl in the world...hands off! Anyways, unfortunately he lives in Oklahoma while I melt here in Arizona! It's awful I know. So this is the first time I've seen him in two months!!! You don't always realize a part of you is missing until you find it again and he is definitely my missing piece. So him being here to help me through the overwhelming amount of apartment guests was a huge plus!

Well my weekend went a little something like this...

Thursday: Last test of my undergraduate career! Astronomy...a gen ed turned into one of my favorite classes in college. Then power cleaning the whole apartment for the parentals approval. My mom and boyfriend show up from their two hour commute...together!

Friday: Running errands. A Costco power shopping trip. After purchasing food for an entire army and maneuvering it into my tiny fridge, we watch movies and wait for the best friend! A short trip to heaven on Earth, Eegees. More movies and a pizza night.

Saturday: A bomb of food, people, and gifts explodes in my apartment. So many thank you's and congrats. Then we head to the shindig. After sweating bullets in the basement of the convention center, I find the other three to my quad and the selfie festival begins. Then speeches from the Dean and we're the third row to graduate! I didn't trip, I got a paperweight and took some more selfies. Then we take a few more pictures and head to campus. After 5 and a half hours of sitting in the sun we finally get to sit on the field for the 150th commencement for the University of Arizona! A blast from the past, a high school best friend, half the quad, and my dance partner in whine...I couldn't have asked for a better group to sweat to death with.

The last week has gone by in kind of a blur with a whole Facebook album dedicated to my tassel swapping event and a million goodbyes to say. I finally packed up my whole apartment and with one trip left I will say goodbye to the city with almost as much character as me. I finished my bucket list, look forward to that post next. I spent the last four years tearing up this town and I finally have to say bye to it. That will be hard, but I know there is adventure out there and it's just waiting for me.

You Have to Start Somewhere...

Post numbero uno! Wow, I can't believe it's finally time to hang up my college cowgirl boots and move on to new adventures...on the beach in Florida!!!

The last four years of my life have been filled with adventures at the Agriculture Center. Many late nights have turned into early morning shifts and I don't think I could be any more grateful that I don't, at any, point have to be presentable at work.
The last two years have been more amazing that I thought. I was so excited when the teaching farm opened. I would finally get the opportunity to work with all forms of fuzzy livestock critters. It was a bit of a struggle to begin with, but I don't think I've ever had an "I hate my job" moment and actually meant it.

So it's a little hard to say goodbye to the place and has literally consumed my senior year.

But enough about goodbyes! Let me tell you a little more about this blog and how I got started. My first blog ever started last summer as a dedication to my storybook summer spent in the Rockies. And it was all down hill from there. I loved that blog and getting a chance to capture all of these perfect summer moments. Though there were parts that you "just have to be a wrangler to understand", it was still the start of an addiction. After a month or two post-Sombrero I realized that I wasn't the only one who was having a rough time transitioning back into the real world. Thus, the College Cowgirl was born. It all start with a post about adjusting to college life and how to be an adult again and grew from there. I discovered how massive this blogging world is and how something as simple as a post can reach tons of people and even bring you chills. There is a whole network of people dedicated to making you laugh or cry, helping you craft, plan weddings, cook, or further your sense of wanderlust.

So as I say goodbye to so many things in my life, I'm saying hello to my new child! This blog. It will be a lifestyle blog a little different than my other ones, filled with easy up do's for my future career as a waitress, best way to get a summer tan, DIY hair products, beach workouts, and more. So I hope you will join me on my adventure to Florida with Prince Charming with a Southern Accent and the sibling.
